and Saturday 19th December:
Polgoon Vineyard

Trenance Chocolates
On both days we also expect to be sampling some of our own produce.
We were delighted to be included in Cornwall Today’s 10 Best Farm Shops (October edition). If you did not see the article, it is available on the media page of our website.
We are also a part of “57 Steps To A Cornish Christmas” which is in December’s edition. This is out now and we hope to have the article on the website in the near future.
In the shop, Clare has been busy making Christmas produce – yummy cakes, puddings and mincemeats. Good news for vegetarians – she has made vegetarian brandy mincemeat!
We only have a limited number of cakes so reserve yours today!
We are also taking orders for Christmas. As usual, we will be supplying our own free-range bronze turkeys, free-range geese and multi-birds; also if there is anything else you particularly want – meat, veg or kitchen produce – we encourage you to order so that we can ensure supply.
The game season has started so we have fresh pheasant and partridge in and at the moment we also have fresh venison.
Veg – the strawberries finished a couple of weeks ago and the winter veg is now in full swing. We have celeriac, squashes, chard, a variety of cabbage (including red), coloured cauliflower (graffiti and Romanesque) and have had the first brussel sprouts of the year.
Foods Wild have a new alcoholic beverage – Cornish Stinger – a 3.5% nettle ‘ale’.
We also have a new range of Rick Stein Savoury Oat Biscuits. They come with three flavours – thyme, Cornish Sea Salt and Davidstow Cheddar.
Bosue Vineyard have a new wine available – Cellar Blend 2008. It is a white with a rose blush.
Please note that Camel Valley do not have any more Atlantic Dry, Bacchus Dry, Rose and Red until well into next year. Our current stocks will be our last until then. They have also brought out a new sparkling red which is now available for sale.
We also have only two bottles left of the limited Polgoon Fizz!
We also have an extensive Gordan Bennett range in – rubs for marinades and cooking and delicious oils!
On the farm, Farmer Jim has been busy tending to our winter veg. We also had a TB test on the cattle, which came out clear.
The cattle are all in for the winter now and no doubt glad to be out of the seemingly constant wind and rain!
Please go to the About Us page to see our opening times over the Christmas period.
